After years in some of the highest rooms, what I’ve seen: *Every top 1% client I have is *deeply* motivated & driven. *You do not have to force them to achieve. *They do not have to push themselves often *Most love what they do & have an internal drive to be the best. Drive is what matters most. It is a deep hunger, it fades minimally in intensity over the years when connected to something you are passionate about. *Discipline is useful – but for weak or challenging moments. *Internal Drive is for the Daily. Discipline is a tool – not a way of life. He was compelled to be the best. Pulled. That’s how greatness *anywhere* happens. People love the game, love what they do. That pull is a force of nature. Discipline can sound ‘tough,’ but it steals energy over time…You expend so much into the pushing of behaviors, it actually drains it from performance within them. When you are pulled internally – magic happens. Time passes, you get in your zone, the world flows.
