The truth is some people really are winning and you need to learn to be happy with your life regardless. Every happy couple you see on your timeline is not miserable behind closed doors. If you have to tell yourself that in order to not feel jealous, then you have internal issues that need to be healed. A lot of those couples are truly happy and that’s ok. Every fit girl you see online isn’t surgically enhanced. Some of them went to the gym and worked really really hard for that body. Instead of talking down on her you can use it as motivation to work on yours too. Not every entrepreneur you see posting their financial success stories is a scammer or somebody that had startup money. Some of them really got it out the mud and run exceptional companies. If you have to tell yourself that ‘all that glitters aint gold’ whenever you see someone shining to cope, you’re just soothing your own insecurities. You need to learn how to be ok with knowing that sometimes, it really is gold! And that takes nothing away from your shine! Other people are in happy relationships. Other people have amazing bodies. Other people have a lot of money. That’s good for them and takes nothing from you. True happiness is seeing someone do great and being happy for them without comparing their life to yours! Comparison was, is, and will always be the thief of joy! People do not need to post their relationship problems, so you feel better about not being in one. People do not need to post their financial struggle seasons, so you don’t feel bad when they have money. You shouldn’t HAVE to witness someone’s losses to cheer for their win! Don’t let social media turn you into the type of person that projects unhappiness on other people’s happy endings. Yours will come!
