Throwback…Not sure if you’ve ever listened to Club Paradise by Drake, but at the end of the song there’s a sample of Bob Marley. From the moment I heard it, I knew exactly where they sampled Marley’s voice from (this was before Rap Genius). My recognition made me feel good. Yet, more importantly, the message continues to resonate with me…it’s not copy [that] does it, it’s the feel… It’s about the energy and the vibes. That’s something you can’t fake.
