My friends would say ‘you deserve better’ and I’d nod in agreement but, deep down, I didn’t actually believe it. I kept reaching down a level. But what happens when you reach down? That person has more leverage and will pull you to their level. Do the work. Love yourself. Be ok on your own. Then allow someone on your level to love you.
