Sometimes that goes further than you know…I texted my old boss, the man that hired me into my first salestrading gig (yes, there were MANY ppl behind the scenes), earlier in the week. I was contemplating doing something for another that he did for me so many years ago – it deepened the foundation of an incredible relationship that’s grown over the years. I asked him a question, followed by: “1) Thanks again, it changed the trajectory of my career and our relationship. 2) Why’d you do it?” He quickly responded: “I hope you passed it along. 1) you deserved it. 2) you deserved it.” While we don’t always get what we deserve, having people in our lives that see us, push us, believe in us, and give us grace is invaluable.
